More than 30 years of history
1987
First steps
Mégamo, in its early days or as Megamo is known today, began its journey in 1987, establishing its base in Girona. From the very beginning, the brand started to forge its identity through biketrial and MTB competition, achieving great success throughout the 1990s. Thanks to these results, Megamo quickly established itself as a benchmark brand and a pioneer of MTB in Europe.

Since then and up to the present day, quality, design and technological innovation at highly competitive prices have been the pillars that define Megamo’s DNA and guide the development of each of its bicycles.
1994 - 1994
Megamo Liberto Team
Between 1994 and 1998, Megamo went through a key period focused on competition bicycles. During those years, the racing team achieved outstanding results and was strengthened by incorporating the best riders in each category.

The legendary Megamo Liberto Team was born, a pioneer of MTB in Spain and Europe, made up of leading figures such as Spanish champion Juan Carlos Garro, brothers Òscar and Lluís García, Miquel Campasol, Pau Bartoló and Eduard Ayats, among many others. World champion Margarita Fullana also joined the team, further strengthening its international presence.

The Megamo Liberto Team competed both in the national calendar and in European World Cup events, achieving countless victories and trophies that marked an era.
2000 - 2010
Passion for cycling
Driven by a genuine passion for cycling, at Megamo we progressively expanded our range of bicycles to reach all types of riders. From our first full-suspension bike, the Top Rally, to the development of the first carbon models, every step forward had a single goal: to promote cycling at all levels by combining performance, accessibility and innovation.
2011 - 2020
Megamo UCI Factory Team
The design and development of all our models are carried out in our Technical Department in close collaboration with the racing teams. The creation of the Megamo UCI Factory Team represented a decisive step to refine our processes and adapt to the latest market trends, applying a thorough methodology focused on the highest level of detail.

A clear example of this commitment was our participation in the first UCI E-BIKE championship, the World E-bike Series. In the MTB field, we achieved victories as outstanding as Salamina 2020 or Titan Desert 2020, consolidating Megamo as a brand competitive at the highest level.
2021
New headquarters in Girona, Vilablareix.
The expansion of the team and the evolution of our workspaces drove significant brand growth. Megamo’s new headquarters in Vilablareix (Girona) made it possible to strengthen internal capabilities, optimize design and development processes, and foster closer collaboration between departments.

This new stage marked a turning point in Megamo’s history, in which innovation, international projection and product quality took on a leading role.
2022 - 2025
Buff-Megamo Team
With the aim of continuing to link the brand with competition and adventure, in 2022 a new project was born: the BUFF®-MEGAMO Team. From day one, the team established itself as a benchmark in MTB marathon (XCM) and in the world’s most demanding stage races, competing in iconic events such as the Absa Cape Epic, the Andalucía Bike Race or the 4Islands Epic.

Year after year, the team grew and achieved international milestones. In 2024 it achieved outstanding results such as the podium at the Absa Cape Epic 2024, the European XCM Champion title and the leadership of the UCI XCM world team ranking. On this journey, the Megamo Track evolved season after season driven by race learning and the demands of modern XCM.
 
 
 
2026
Megamo Gravel Team
En 2026, Megamo da un paso decisivo en su evolución deportiva y crea Megamo Gravel Racing, un equipo propio centrado en el gravel competitivo y formado únicamente por chicas. Nacido en Girona y alineado con el crecimiento internacional de la disciplina, el proyecto traslada el ADN de la marca a un terreno donde velocidad, resistencia y estrategia marcan la diferencia. Con bicicletas desarrolladas para rendir al máximo, como la Megamo Silk. Megamo Gravel Racing nace para competir, aprender y convertir esa experiencia en producto real para ciclistas que viven el gravel al límite.
